If history and beautiful gardens are your bag, Sizergh Castle Gardens & Café/Shop are open all that weekend from 10am to 5pm with the stunning House opening too on Sunday 27th March from 12 noon until 4pm. And the stately home of Holker Hall with its beautiful grounds & gardens, has lots of outdoor activities organised over the Easter weekend too.
If your interests are more vigorous, why not have a thrilling day out at the Kendal Wall? It`s a series of graded climbing walls from Beginners to Advanced, and you`ll definitely work up an appetite for Dinner at the Hotel after a few hours there!
The Abbot Hall Art Gallery is always a fantastic place to spend an afternoon!
Or how about a relaxing steamboat cruise on Lake Windermere with its breathtaking views and timeless beauty?
And who could resist an Easter Egg Hunt? Theres one at Beatrix Potter`s home of Hill Top on Saturday 26th March 10am to 4pm. And 2016 is not only the 150th Anniversary of Beatrix Potter`s birth, it`s also the 150th Anniversary of the Grange Hotel!!
We know that some of you love to shop, and where better than Lakeland , the home of all things for the home in Windermere? And there`s a lovely café where you can rest your weary feet and enjoy some well-deserved refreshments. Yewtree Barn is also another fascinating place to visit nearby….and Aladdin`s Cave of antiques and fascinating bri-a-brac
Last but not least, there the eternally-stunning Lake District scenery……from the picturesque little town of Grange over Sands to the majestic peaks of Scafell Pike, there`s something to appeal to everyone.
