Only 20 minutes by car from the Hotel, Bowness-on Windermere is a great day out for people of all ages. And what could be finer than a view like this to warm the soul? The steamboat ferry is a wonderful way to see the fantastic views from the Lake, and you can travel from Lakeside to either Bowness or a bit further to the top of the Lake at Ambleside
And about 30 mins away to the east, you can spend a great day in Kirkby Lonsdale, a quaint little market town with interesting shops, great pubs, super little cafes & the best ice cream in Cumbria. And the walk down by the river at Devil`s Bridge is a wonderful way to work up an appetite for Dinner back at the Grange Hotel!!
